In some cases, this led to death of patients who could have been saved. All of this is largely due to a lack of knowledge among health professionals because they are not equipped to assess and diagnose HAE.<\/p>\n<p>With the involvement and approach of AOHQuebec, a wind of change is blowing in the healthcare circle. AOHQuebec offers accredited training to staff, and an emergency protocol is about to emerge in the province\u2019s hospital ER in 2018.[\/vc_column_text][vc_single_image image=&#8221;2263&#8243; img_size=&#8221;large&#8221; alignment=&#8221;center&#8221;][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]<strong>Overexposure to examinations and surgeries :<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Gastroscopy<\/li>\n<li>Colonoscopy<\/li>\n<li>Echo, taco, X Ray<\/li>\n<li>Appendectomy<\/li>\n<li>Hysterectomy<\/li>\n<li>Exploratory laparotomy<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Numerous consultants on file :<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Gastroenterologist<\/li>\n<li>Neurologist<\/li>\n<li>ENT<\/li>\n<li>Gynecologist<\/li>\n<li>Psychiatrist<\/li>\n<li>Internal physician<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_separator color=&#8221;blue&#8221;][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]<\/p>\n<h1 style=\"text-align: center;\">IMPACT ON THE PATIENT<\/h1>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The impacts on the patient are numerous and affect all spheres of his life.
